Continuing the Tradition of Excellence, Bremen alumni and community individuals have established the Bremen Educational Foundation. It is the primary focus of the Foundation to collect funds from alumni, businesses, local clubs, and community individuals to set up a permanent endowment. The Educational Foundation will act as a fiscal agent for these donors who wish to sponsor approved projects for the school system, its teachers and students. Such funds collects will support acedemics and the fine and preforming arts. Teachers and administrators will be able to apply for such funding through a competitive grant-type program. Examples of things teachers might request funding for could include computers and software, books, technical equipment, support for student-produced publications, sound equipment for drama and musical productions, science equipment or art supplies. The Foundation will also be the vehicle for future scholarships which people wish to establish. Various levels of contributions will be established so that the donors will have the opportunity to give at a level that suits them best. In appreciation to donors, the Bremen Educational Foundation will honor those who contribute. Those who contribute $250.00 or more, for example, may choose to place their name or the name of someone they wish to honor on a brick that will be included in the "Walk of Excellence" sidewalk. This sidewalk will be built on the front campus of Bremen High School. Supporters who contribute $100.00 or more will recieve a "Big Blue Supporter" sticker to display on their business or car. Board members and Directors of the Foundation are Melanie McCellan, President; Randall Redding, Vice-President; Kay Gann, Secretary; Mary Covington, Treasurer; Nancy McEachern, Nolan Pointer, Rick Pollard, Sharon Sewell, Robin Worley, Daryl Sellers, School Board Chairman and Stanley McCain, Superintendent.
