Purposes of the Foundation

Our Purposes:

• Improve the quality of education in the Bremen City School system.
• Preserve and increase access to our system's unique heritage.
• Promote broad-based participation in the arts and cultural activities.
• Improve children's readiness to learn and ability to succeed in school.
• Increase access to and participation in literary and fine arts programs.
• Act as a fiscal agent for donors who wish to sponsor approved projects for the system, its teachers, and students.

In the Spring 2003, the Bremen Educational Foundation:

• Will contact potential donors.
• Will make presentations to local civic groups.
• Will co-sponsor the H.A. Jones art show, BHS Spring Play, Miss Blue Devil, and Sewell Middle School Literary Competition.
• Will hold several fund-raising events, including a Commemm\orative Brick Campaign and a Run for Educational Excellence.
• Will hold the first annual B-Day celebration (May 15) by recognizing local businesses who donate, and by inviting all individual donors to a celebration with the BHS/SMS band concert at West Central Technical College Murphy campus.
